Season's Round Up # 37: VERSACE SPRING-SUMMER 2013
If attention is what you want, attention is what you’ll get. Versace’sSS2013 Women’s RTW collection definitely demanded attention with what all the lace and slashed dresses that ran down the runway at her show.
The show featured clothes out of Versace’s comfort zone. This season, you’ll see a ton of loose cuts compared to the typical body-hugging pieces the fashion house churns out. That as it may, the designs still stay true to its roots with clothes that exude a sexy and confident air to themselves. Amazonian princess would be an apt description to the collection – grunge yet chic, dirty yet refined – especially with the tie-dyed pieces that brought to life dirtied-up party princess looks, befitting a music video from Rihanna or dare I say a more refined Ke$ha. Seems like next season, Donatella wants the Versace woman to have fun - with pieces cinched in the waist by studded belts yet free and flowing - allowing you to show off your dance moves while accentuating a gorgeous figure. It’s a collection that once again, brings to life the power and finesse of a woman, for as long as you’re brave enough to don them eh?
