SEOUL: DAY 4
The inevitable needed to happen. Our last day in Seoul arrived like we were never even there. Yet we had to face the music. Checking out around midday, Tanya and myself decided to head on down and explore Gangnam-Gu whilst the rest stayed in the city and caught the Cooking Nanta show. And boy was it well worth the trip! Famished, we decided to grab a bite to eat at this cool, quirky cafe called Rabbit in the Moon. Looking at its facade and interiors, it had that homey cafe vibe - and we immediately fell in love.
[Of course my Emporio Armani Arm Warmers had to make an appearance!]
The food was simply divine. They served Korean fusion cuisine and from the menu, we decided to try out the bulgogi hotdogs. OMG. They were more then delightful. They were pretty damn amazing that we each had 2 [the price wasn't bad either! Served with a big cup of Americano, it cost us rough around 20,000 KWN. Such a steal!]
Revitalized and reenergized, Tanya and I decided to go around and explore the shops and do some well-deserved damage. And I must say we were in for a treat - Gangnam-Gu had everything from a myriad of international premium outlets that carried brands such as Balenciaga, Pierre Hardy, Balmain, Comme Des Garcons, Versace and the list goes on - to budding local designers that were spread all over like ants. My fave of the stores we've seen would be Ilmo - an international premium outlet shop - and Aland - a treasure trove of local designers.
One of the stores I literally went head over heels for would be Momosma - a local hat designer shop - that's located in Aland and literally had everything from caps to straw hats to this amazing couture-like headgear that I just had to have. Well, what can I say, it completed my look that day!
Overall it was one amazing trip. It's definitely one for the books and for sure, I'm going back to this amazing city full of treasures! Maybe fall next time around? Until then, Adieu Seoul!
