I know this comes in a bit late but it's an event worth sharing! Things have been crazy hectic for me and I have a TON of in a TON! Anyway enough with the boring and on to the exciting! Last 22nd of November at Club 84 of Taipei 101, Gucci celebrated the grand opening of its Flagship Store with a charity gala benefitting World Vision Taiwan. It was a philanthropic collaboration between Gucci, Taipei 101 and World Vision Taiwan, where they auctioned off 101 limited edition teddies and of course showcased gorgeous Gucci wares and limited edition pieces.

Gorgeous Gucci celebrity enthusiasts in Asia, such as Li Bing Bing [face of the House’s accessories advertising campaign], Lee Lieh [acclaimed Taiwanese film maker] and emerging talents from Taiwan: Kai Ko, Chris Wang (Yo-Shang), James Wen, Tiffany Hsu, Jiro Wang, Megan Lai, Alice Ko, Edison Wang, and so much more were out and about to support the event and of course all of them were glammed up in gorgeous couture.

The night was eventful with Gucci unveiling an exclusive exhibit featuring rare and precious designs on loan from Florence’s Gucci Museo. Arrays of archival evening clutches and red carpet gowns, including a selection of Li Bing Bing’s evening dresses worn at the Cannes Film Festival were available for the guest's viewing pleasure. Of course, as with any flagship opening, Creative Director Frida Giannini designed a limited edition Boston bag exclusively available in [you guessed it!] 101 pieces at the new boutique. The exclusive design features a unique print inspired by Taiwan’s flora and fauna. Charming no? 25% of the proceeds would of course be donated to World Vision Taiwan’s Zhudong Children’s Center creating much needed scholarships for 2013 for 57 school children. Well, what more can you say? It's fashion for a cause! Congratulations Gucci! Well-deserved success of an event!
