MUCH NEEDED BREAK...SHOPPING BREAK
Life has been really busy. The past week has been crazy. My weekend wasn't even one. I've been so occupied that the last time I even had my haircut was 8 weeks ago. And so, with the little time I had to myself today, I took a much needed break. Spent hours updating my do in the salon with a fresh new cut and updated color too. Most importantly, I went on a much needed shopping break. With Fall-Winter just around the corner, my wardrobe needed some updating. I found some pieces that were simply too hard to resist and I just had to have! Check out some of the lust worthy pieces from Celine and Raoul to name a few.
First up, a coveted Fall-Winter accessory - the Celine Foxtail. When I first wrote about these lovely accessories, I wasn't even sure if I wanted them. But when I passed by Celine store in Takashimaya and saw them on display I had no qualms that I had to have one.
Soft and plush as teddy bears, these furry accessories will definitely add a dash of wintery goodness to any bag or pouch. I personally adored the one in military green but the black one isn't bad either. It's worth getting a piece or 2 as it seems it's possible to join 2 pieces together to create your very own fur neck warmer. Besides, for the price it's going at [retailing for SGD 420 a piece] it's a furry steal!
Of course, there are these Prada-ish sweaters from Raoul. Worth SGD 189 for one, the designs are reminiscent of the sweaters Prada had on it's F/W'11 runway collection - sleek, simple and absolutely stunning. Seen in Raoul's own F/W'11 runway show here in Singapore, the Crew Neck Color Block Sweater is made of 100% wool while the other is made of 70% silk. Luxurious materials aren't they? Good thing I had some store credit saved up and ended up paying less than 10% of the total price! You just got to love loyalty programs!
Last but not the least are my fab finds from staple brands Zara and Topman. From the latter brand, I got an amazing off-white patterned shirt - reminiscent of patterns seen on native Indian designs, a deep blue patterned silk scarf and this uber cute beaded bracelet.
From the latter, I scored an amazing silk white polo and light gray cotton blazer. Perfect pieces to spice up my F/W wardrobe! Can't wait to do my next photo shoot! Well honestly, I've thought up of some amazing outfits the past few weeks it's just so sad I couldn't take photos cause I've been so damn busy!
In any case, today was definitely a breather from the stress of work. It was well worth the break. I'll use the next few days to recuperate and brace myself for more work when I come back!
Do watch out for my upcoming posts. There are some interesting articles and collaborations coming your way so stay tuned!
