LOUBOUTIN LOUIS SNEAKERS and ALFRED FLATS
Mr. Louboutin has been well loved by women all over the world for his extravagant and elegant takes on women’s shoes. The world-renowned red soles of his pumps & stilettos have long been recognized as a signature of prestige, stature and [surprisingly even] of labeled comfort to the wearer. And since the Louboutin brand has decided to foray in men’s shoes a few years back – these sought after delights have marked a refreshing change into the otherwise dull world of men’s footwear.
The coming close of Spring-Summer 2011 marked another round of amazing men’s shoes from this iconic brand. There’s the Patent Louis Spikes Sneakers that can seemingly kill with a kick from this stunner.
And for those with a more conservative taste, you’ll find monochromatic Louis Sneakers in luscious calf leather and varied colors such as the one below.
The selection goes on and I’d like to draw attention to these 2 designs I’ve simply fallen in love with:
1. Louis Suede with Strass – another variation of the Louis design for those who wants a cross between the Spikes and Plain versions. It’s for the guy who wants just the right amount of kick from his Louis. Personally think it goes well with a nice pair of dark blue jeans, a round neck shirt and linen jacket.
2. Alfred Flats – Of all the designs, I’ve fallen in love with these. Made of calf leather these shoes exude class and panache all the way! Comes in plain colors – Panama Navy and Panama Beige to be exact, but where’s the fun in that? My best pick would be this:
Made of a combination of grays and white – the pattern is as exquisite as the fit and feel. Wear them with a great pair of black slim-fit trousers and a crisp white shirt and you’re good to go. There may be a slight draw back, namely the potential color transfer if and when wet. So a word of caution these shoes are best used indoors. Notwithstanding, worth every penny for the sleekness and electricity it’ll bring to your outfit.
So, for those fortunate enough who own a pair – good on you. For those who don’t and still want to, go try your luck and check the nearest Louboutin boutiques in your town.
[Singapore based readers – last I checked, the Alfred flats are still available. Just head on over to Takashimaya and grab a piece of these lovelies while you still can. Don’t think about; just go get! They’re sure-fire winners no matter the season.]
